Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medicine is 1 capsule (0.5mg) once daily. This medicine should be swallowed whole without chewing or splitting, as exposure to the capsule contents may cause irritation of the oropharyngeal mucosa. This medicine may be taken with or without food. No dose adjustment is necessary in patients with renal impairment or elderly patients. As there are no data on the administration of this medicine to patients with hepatic impairment, the recommended dose in these patients has not been established.

This medication can be absorbed through the skin; therefore, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not touch or handle this medication directly. If the capsule leaks and comes into contact with the skin, it should be washed immediately with soap and water. Children should also avoid contact with this medication, and if contact occurs, immediate washing is necessary. This medication should not be used by women or children under 18 years old, and individuals with allergies to this medicine or similar ingredients should also avoid its use. Adult males planning to conceive should use this medication cautiously based on a physician's judgment as it may affect fertility. Patients who have difficulty urinating or have liver function issues should also use this medication with caution. Since this medication is metabolized in the liver, caution is especially needed when it is used in patients with liver dysfunction. Additionally, this medication may increase blood concentration when taken with certain drugs, namely CYP3A4 inhibitors, so caution should be exercised in patients taking these medications long-term. While taking this medication, erectile dysfunction, decreased libido, and ejaculation disorders may occur as side effects related to sexual function; some patients may experience persistent symptoms. Breast-related adverse reactions, such as gynecomastia and breast tenderness, have been reported, and rare symptoms may include testicular pain or swelling. Regular evaluation of the risk of prostate cancer is essential during long-term use of this medication, particularly through periodic PSA tests to monitor prostate health. Patients should avoid donating blood while taking this medication to prevent transmission to pregnant women. Effects on driving or operating machinery are minimal, but caution is advised if symptoms such as dizziness occur. There is no specific antidote for overdose, so if symptoms are suspected, immediate consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary for appropriate treatment. Keep this medication out of the reach of children and store it in its original container to prevent misuse or deterioration of quality.
