Improvement of constipation and hemorrhoids (anorectal disorders)
Symptoms such as hemorrhoids, anal fissures, and constipation frequently occur in individuals with hardened stools and difficulty defecating. In these situations, there may be pain during defecation, and blood in the stool might accompany it. The medication primarily helps alleviate constipation by softening the stools, thus facilitating easier defecation and improving the symptoms of hemorrhoids and anal fissures. It is used to reduce discomfort associated with constipation and alleviate inflammation and pain in the anal area.
Generally, adults take 1 packet three times a day before meals or between meals.
This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as the rhubarb component it contains can lead to uterine contractions, increasing the risk of miscarriage or preterm birth. Breastfeeding women should also refrain from taking this medication, as ingredients in rhubarb may be transferred to breast milk and cause diarrhea in infants. Individuals with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders should not take this drug, as it contains lactose that can worsen symptoms. It is advisable not to take this medication with other drugs that induce diarrhea, as symptoms may worsen. Patients with hypertension, heart or kidney diseases, those with edema, the elderly, and individuals taking other medications should consult a professional before taking this medication. Those experiencing diarrhea, individuals with weak stomachs, those with loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting symptoms, patients with low vitality, and children should consult a professional before use. People with a history of skin rashes or itching due to medications, a history of liver disease, or serious health issues should exercise caution. If symptoms such as swelling of the face or extremities or elevated blood pressure occur while taking this medication, it should be stopped immediately and a professional should be consulted. If symptoms of muscle weakness, spasms, or paralysis occur, the use of this medication should be discontinued and medical personnel notified. If symptoms such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing arise, it may indicate pulmonary issues, and the medication should be stopped immediately and evaluated. If there are symptoms of liver dysfunction, jaundice, skin rash, severe abdominal pain or diarrhea, the medication should be halted, and a professional should be consulted. If symptoms do not improve after one month of use, it is advisable to stop taking it and discuss with a doctor. Caution is advised when taking this medication with potassium or licorice-containing drugs, as well as diuretics, due to potentially heightened risk of side effects. This medication should be strictly adhered to the prescribed usage and dosage, especially since the effects of the rhubarb component may vary by individual, requiring caution. Irritating laxatives can lead to tolerance with prolonged use, exacerbating constipation, so it should not be taken continuously for more than one week. Beware of overlapped rhubarb components when taking other herbal medications. For long-term use, consulting a professional is advised. Store this medication in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Additionally, it should be stored in its original container and sealed tightly, as transferring it to another container may reduce its quality or increase the risk of misuse.
