Vitamin D is especially important during pregnancy, breastfeeding, growth period, and old age, aiding in the healthy development of bones and teeth. It is also effective in preventing rickets. For these reasons, Vitamin D is used as a nutrient required for maintaining skeletal health and for growth and aging processes.

How to take

Adult dose

For individuals aged 12 years and older and adults: Take 1 tablet twice daily.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals with hypercalcemia (high calcium levels in the blood), those with sarcoidosis (an unknown cause of inflammatory disease), or individuals with kidney diseases. Additionally, people who have had allergic reactions to any component of this medication, infants under 12 months, patients with kidney stones, and those exhibiting severe renal failure symptoms should also refrain from using this medication. This drug contains lactose, and individuals with lactose intolerance should avoid it. During treatment, it is recommended not to take phosphate, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids together with this medication. Women currently receiving medical treatment, pregnant or potentially pregnant, breastfeeding, as well as premature infants and young children should consult with a healthcare professional before use. Individuals with gastrointestinal diseases such as peptic ulcers or chronic colitis, or those with heart or kidney function problems should also exercise caution. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, skin rash, heart rhythm irregularities, hair loss, or abdominal pain occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult with a healthcare professional. Overdose may result in gastrointestinal symptoms, heart issues, or edema, so it is essential to be cautious. Furthermore, prolonged use may lead to hypercalcemia and stone formation, thus regular monitoring of condition is important. Co-administration with certain diuretics (anti-aldosterone agents, triamterene) may increase blood potassium levels, so care must be taken. Adhere strictly to dosage instructions and avoid tea containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before and after consumption. Store this medication out of reach of children in a cool, dry place, avoiding direct sunlight. Lastly, to maintain the quality of the medication, do not transfer it to another container.
