Improvement of decreased physical strength and muscle cramps due to magnesium deficiency during pregnancy and lactation
Vitamin B6 helps in nutritional supplementation needed during periods of decreased physical strength, such as during pregnancy or lactation, as well as during illness or recovery. It is also used to alleviate muscle cramps caused by magnesium deficiency.
For magnesium deficiency, adults should take 2 tablets at a time, 3 times a day with plenty of water during meals.
This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to it or any of its components. Additionally, infants under 12 months old and patients with severe renal failure should not take this medication. It is important to avoid taking this medication concurrently with phosphate or calcium preparations, oral tetracyclines, antacids, and drugs like levodopa during treatment. Consultation with a physician, dentist, or pharmacist may be necessary before taking this medication. For instance, patients currently under medical treatment, those with heart and circulatory system issues, individuals with kidney disorders, patients with hypoproteinemia, and pregnant women should definitely consult a specialist. If symptoms such as red spots on the skin, diarrhea, serious symptoms like cardiac arrest, or central nervous system dysfunction appear during the use of this medication, it is important to discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Long-term use of pyridoxine in doses exceeding 500mg to 2g per day may cause peripheral nervous system abnormalities, so caution is advised. Overdosing may lead to nausea, vomiting, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema, thus attention is required. Care should be taken as hyperkalemia may occur if taken with antihyperaldosteronism drugs or triamterene. If overdosed or if symptoms do not improve after about a month of use, it is advisable to consult a specialist immediately. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and method of use, and it is recommended to avoid teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before and after taking. When storing, keep it in a sealed container, away from children, avoiding direct sunlight, and in a cool and dry place. Lastly, do not transfer this medication to another container and be careful to use it correctly.
