How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken with water on an empty stomach. It should be swallowed whole and not crushed, cut, or chewed. As an initial dose, take 2 tablets once a day before bedtime (on the first day). If symptoms are appropriately controlled the next day, continue taking 2 tablets once daily before bedtime. If symptoms persist until the afternoon of the second day, take 2 tablets before bedtime on the second day and 3 tablets on the third day (1 tablet in the morning, 2 tablets before bedtime).

Precautions

This medication should not be used by certain patients. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication, its components, or similar antihistamines should not take this medication. Patients at risk for asthma attacks may also experience worsened symptoms if they take this medication and should avoid it. Patients with glaucoma, those with ulcerated conditions in the stomach or duodenum, patients with obstructions between the stomach and duodenum, and those with bladder outlet obstructions should not take this medication. Furthermore, patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors should be cautious as central nervous system side effects may worsen when taking this medication. For patients with severe vomiting during pregnancy, the safety of this medication has not been sufficiently studied, and it should be used with caution. Patients taking central nervous system depressants, such as alcohol or sedatives, should be careful as combining them with this medication may increase drowsiness or dizziness. Patients with liver or kidney dysfunction should also exercise caution when using this medication. While using this medication, drowsiness may occur, so it is advisable to avoid activities requiring concentration such as driving or operating machinery. Taking this medication with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants may increase the risk of severe drowsiness or accidents. It is recommended to take the medication on an empty stomach with water to maintain its effectiveness, as taking it with food may reduce its effects. Taking this medication may cause side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, headache, gastrointestinal discomfort, constipation, or diarrhea. Additionally, various symptoms such as chest discomfort, fatigue, anxiety, insomnia, itching, and rashes have been reported. Combining this medication with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants may increase the risk of falls or accidents. Research on the effects of this medication on the fetus during pregnancy is limited; therefore, it should be used under medical supervision.
