This medication is used to alleviate pain in patients with acute low back pain accompanied by musculoskeletal muscle spasms.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: Take 1 tablet orally after meals, twice a day. This medication should be taken whole without crushing, splitting, or chewing. To minimize adverse reactions, it should be taken for the shortest duration possible.

Precautions

This medication must be consulted with a physician or pharmacist prior to use by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks daily. There is a heightened risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when this drug is taken by heavy alcohol consumers. This medication may increase risks related to the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems, so patients with risk factors for heart disease or cerebrovascular disease should use it cautiously. The longer the duration and dosage increases, the greater the cardiovascular risk, so it should be taken at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration possible. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations, therefore particularly elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases should use it with caution. If gastrointestinal symptoms occur, medical consultation should be sought immediately. Patients with active peptic ulcer or bleeding, or those allergic to this medication or similar medications should not take it. Additionally, individuals with severe heart failure, significantly impaired kidney or liver function, pregnant women in the late stages of pregnancy, and lactating women should also avoid it. Patients with kidney or liver issues, high blood pressure, asthma, elderly individuals, or those on anticoagulants should use this medication cautiously and require regular check-ups during its use. Side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and visual disturbances may occur while taking this medication, thus activities involving driving or operating hazardous machinery should be avoided.
