Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to its active ingredient or components. Abnormal symptoms in the eyes may occur, such as blurred vision or dry eyes, and small damage to the cornea may happen. Additionally, uncomfortable sensations in the eye or taste abnormalities may occur as side effects. If the eyes are red, contact lens wear should be avoided, and although this medication is a non-sedating antihistamine, it may cause temporary blurred vision after use, so one should wait until their vision clears up before driving or operating machinery. Patients undergoing long-term steroid treatment should gradually reduce the steroid dosage under physician supervision if using this medication. Patients with seasonal allergies are advised to start using this medication before symptoms begin and continue until symptoms resolve. If there is no effect, it is safe not to use it for a prolonged period. This medication is for ocular use only and should not be used as an injection or taken orally. During pregnancy, this medication should be used only after carefully considering the risks to the fetus and the benefits of use; harmful effects to the fetus have been observed in animal studies at high doses. In breastfeeding cases, this medication may be excreted into breast milk, so it should be used with caution considering potential effects on the baby. Children under 2 years of age should not use this medication as safety and efficacy have not been established. There are no significant differences compared to younger patients regarding elderly patients, but caution is advised. When using, care should be taken to prevent the tip of the container from touching the area around the eye, and it should only be used once after opening before discarding any remaining medication. It is advisable to discard 1-2 drops the first time to clear foreign substances from the container. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and stored in a cool place. Transferring to another container may alter its quality, so it should be stored in the original container. Animal testing has shown no potential for carcinogenicity or mutagenicity; however, there may be some reproductive effects at high doses, so caution is advised for those planning to become pregnant or who are pregnant.
