This medication is primarily used to treat constipation and alleviate various symptoms caused by constipation, such as loss of appetite, abdominal distension, abnormal fermentation in the intestines, and hemorrhoids.
How to take
Adult dose
For individuals aged 15 years and above and adults, take 1 to 2 capsules once daily at bedtime (on an empty stomach). The initial dose should be the minimum amount, and adjustments can be made gradually while observing the shape and condition of the stool.
Precautions
This medication should not be taken by individuals with serious intestinal diseases such as acute abdominal disease, intestinal bleeding, or ulcerative colitis. Patients with intestinal obstruction should also refrain from taking this medication. Those allergic or hypersensitive to soybean oil, soy, or peanuts should avoid taking this medication as a precaution. It is recommended not to take this medication within 1 hour after consuming antacids or milk. Individuals experiencing severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or who are currently taking other medications should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should also consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Individuals on a sodium-restricted diet should seek advice before taking this medication. Patients with a history of rectal bleeding or intestinal dysfunction should take this medication cautiously. This medication contains a dye called Yellow No. 5, and those allergic to this component should exercise caution. Patients with lipid metabolism disorders such as hyperlipidemia, diabetic dyslipidemia, or pancreatitis should take this medication with caution and regularly check their blood lipid levels. If rash, redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting occur while taking this medication, it should be stopped immediately and a healthcare professional should be consulted. If there is abdominal discomfort or cramping, or if constipation does not improve after taking this medication for more than a week, the use of this medication should be discontinued, and a doctor should be consulted. The prescribed dosage and directions must be strictly followed, and unless there are special circumstances, it is advisable for children under 10 years of age to avoid taking this medication. Prolonged use may lead to tolerance and worsening of constipation; therefore, it should not be taken for more than a week continuously. If daily laxatives are needed, the cause of constipation should be thoroughly investigated.
