Atomega Soft Capsule 5/1000 mg

Adult dosage

To avoid gastrointestinal discomfort, take 4 capsules (1,000 mg of Omega-3 fatty acid ethyl ester / 5 mg of atorvastatin per capsule) once daily with food.

This drug may cause muscle-related conditions such as myopathy or severe muscle damage called rhabdomyolysis; therefore, if symptoms like muscle pain or weakness occur, treatment should be stopped immediately and a doctor should be consulted. While taking this drug, liver function may be affected, so patients with liver disease or those with elevated liver function test results should not use this drug, and regular liver function tests should be conducted while on this medication. Women who are pregnant, at risk of pregnancy, or breastfeeding should not take this drug and should use appropriate contraception while on it. Children under 18 years of age should not use this drug as its safety and efficacy have not been established. Patients with a history of alcohol abuse, liver disease, impaired kidney function, or hypothyroidism should consult a physician before taking this drug, as there is a risk of muscle damage. This drug may interact with other medications, so patients taking any other medications should inform their doctor or pharmacist, especially if they are taking certain antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals, or some lipid-lowering agents. If symptoms such as muscle pain, muscle weakness, fatigue, or fever occur while taking this drug, inform a doctor immediately and get tested; if the symptoms are severe, discontinue use of the drug. It is important to regularly conduct blood tests and liver function tests to monitor for adverse reactions while taking this drug. In the case of an overdose, there is no specific antidote, so treatment should be based on symptoms, while monitoring liver function and muscle damage. Store in a safe place out of reach of children and do not transfer to another container.

Serious side effects

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, paleness, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, mucosal pain in the mouth/eyes, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough + fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, urination
