Used in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of amlodipine or telmisartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). For patients with renal impairment, no dosage adjustment is needed for mild to moderate renal impairment; however, for severe renal impairment, treatment should start at a lower dosage and be gradually increased. For patients with hepatic impairment, the daily dose of telmisartan should not exceed 40 mg.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy have not been established for pediatric patients under 18 years of age, so administration of this medication is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication can pose a serious risk to the fetus, especially during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it must be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. This medication should not be administered to patients with certain conditions, such as those with severe liver impairment or heart disease. Patients with primary aldosteronism or renal impairment need to be especially cautious when using this medication. Side effects such as dizziness or peripheral edema can commonly occur during treatment, and severe side effects have been reported rarely. It is recommended to avoid using this medication during pregnancy, and if planning to conceive or currently pregnant, consult a physician. Serious side effects

Hives, severe swelling (angioedema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, oral/ocular mucosal pain, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory issues accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion of consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis.

Mild side effects

Dizziness, peripheral edema, upper respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, cystitis, anemia, hyperkalemia, hypoglycemia, hyponatremia, hyperglycemia, depression, insomnia, anxiety, confusion, drowsiness, migraine, sensory disturbances, syncope, taste disturbances, tremor, visual impairment, vertigo, tinnitus, palpitations, bradycardia, tachycardia, flushing, hypotension, orthostatic hypotension, cough, gastrointestinal adverse reactions (abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, dry mouth), liver issues.

Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.

Storage

This medication must be stored in a tightly sealed container that protects it from light, and the storage temperature should be maintained at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C. Storing it this way will help maintain the medication's efficacy and safety.
