This medication is used for the treatment of dermatophytoses such as tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis caused by dermatophytes like Trichophyton, Microsporum, and Epidermophyton, as well as tinea versicolor caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare, and for cutaneous candidiasis.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply to the affected area (site of disease) 1 to 2 times a day. The treatment duration depends on the condition as follows: 1. Tinea Pedis: Once daily for 1 week Interdigital tinea pedis: Twice daily for 1 week Plantar tinea pedis: Twice daily for 2 weeks 2. Tinea Corporis, Tinea Cruris: 1 to 2 weeks 3. Cutaneous Candidiasis: 1 to 2 weeks 4. Tinea Versicolor: 2 weeks If clinical symptoms do not improve after the treatment period, a reevaluation is necessary.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients. Pregnant or potentially pregnant women, as well as nursing mothers, should also avoid using this medication. Additionally, this medication should not be used on children. If a rash or allergic symptoms occur while using this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician or pharmacist. It is also important to stop using this medication if severe skin irritation or worsening symptoms occur. If hives, red spots, itching, irritation, skin inflammation, skin peeling, scabbing at wound sites, color changes, prickling pain, or a hot sensation appear, discontinue use immediately. This medication should not be used with seal bandages or packaging methods without a physician's instruction. If symptoms do not improve after using this medication, a fungal test should be conducted to confirm whether it is a different type of infection, followed by appropriate treatment. In cases of Candida infections, avoid using acid soaps, and while the drug is not significantly absorbed in intact skin to pose a risk of systemic side effects, caution should be taken in cases of wounds or large areas, especially in infants, as there may be systemic effects. If this medication is accidentally ingested, use activated charcoal to remove the active ingredient and seek symptomatic treatment as necessary. This medication is for topical use only and should not be applied to the eyes or mucous membranes. If it gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water to prevent eye irritation or worsening of infection. It is also advisable not to use this medication on nails, scalp, around the mouth, and genital areas. There have been reports of slight toxicity from light in animal experiments, so caution is advised during use. Store this medication in a safe place out of the reach of children, and it is important to keep it sealed in its original container to maintain the quality of the medication and prevent misuse.
