View approved original text

This medication is used to relieve pain and inflammation caused by osteoarthritis, specifically degenerative joint disease. It selectively inhibits the COX-2 enzyme, reducing the inflammatory response and alleviating symptoms. However, prior to administration, the overall health status of the patient, including cardiovascular risks, must be carefully assessed to ensure safe treatment tailored to the individual. This medication is effective in improving osteoarthritis symptoms.
