Control of moderate to severe pain and antipyretic effect
This medication is used as an adjunct therapy to control moderate to severe pain with opioid analgesics. Additionally, it has antipyretic effects that help reduce discomfort during fever. It is effective in managing both pain and fever, thus improving the patient's discomfort.
As an adjunct therapy with opioid analgesics for the control of moderate to severe pain, 400mg-800mg may be administered intravenously every 6 hours as needed. A maximum of 3200mg per day may be administered, with a minimum administration time of 30 minutes. For antipyretic purposes, 400mg may be administered intravenously every 4-6 hours as needed. Depending on the patient's condition, a loading dose of 400mg followed by administration every 4 hours may be considered.
For children aged 6 months to under 12 years, administer 10mg/kg as a single dose (maximum 400mg) intravenously every 4-6 hours as needed, with a minimum administration time of 10 minutes. Maximum of 4 doses per day.

The risk may be further heightened with long-term use at high doses, thus caution is necessary. This drug can lead to serious gastrointestinal side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations, with elderly patients or long-term users being at greater risk. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders or severe conditions affecting blood, liver, kidneys, or heart should not use this medication. Patients with bronchial asthma or hypersensitivity to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should also avoid it. Usage during late pregnancy is contraindicated due to the risk of patent ductus arteriosus closure for the fetus. Patients with blood abnormalities, tendency to bleed, liver or kidney dysfunction, heart failure, hypertension, or a history of hypersensitivity should use this medication cautiously. This drug may reduce the cardioprotective effect of aspirin when taken together and could increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Various adverse reactions may occur during the use of this medication, such as headaches, nausea, vomiting, skin rashes, respiratory distress, blood pressure changes, or renal function abnormalities, so if any unusual symptoms arise, consult a healthcare professional immediately. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose and not to take with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs simultaneously. Patients with hypertension or heart failure should closely monitor blood pressure and fluid status when taking this medication. Patients with impaired renal or liver function should consult a physician before use and undergo regular function tests. This medication can cause severe allergic reactions and severe skin reactions; therefore, if skin rash or respiratory distress occurs, discontinue the medication immediately. During pregnancy, especially after 20 weeks, there is a risk of fetal kidney dysfunction and oligohydramnios, so it should only be used short-term and at the minimum effective dose when absolutely necessary. In breastfeeding, this medication can be secreted in breast milk and may cause adverse reactions in infants; therefore, breastfeeding interruption or medication cessation should be considered. It is advisable not to use it in children under 6 months of age as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Elderly patients should have their dosages adjusted and be closely monitored for adverse reactions due to decreased bodily function. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, abdominal pain, liver function abnormalities, renal failure, respiratory distress, and hypotension may occur; seek medical help immediately if symptoms occur.
