This medication is prescribed only for patients who need to use both Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin/Ezetimibe. Telmisartan is used for the treatment of essential hypertension and is particularly helpful in reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death from cardiovascular disease in patients over 55 years of age who cannot use ACE inhibitors or are at high risk for cardiovascular disease. Rosuvastatin/Ezetimibe is mainly used for patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, lowering levels of total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) while increasing HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol) to improve cardiovascular health. Therefore, this medication is used to simultaneously improve blood pressure and blood cholesterol management.
