Precautions

This medication helps to control blood sugar levels. However, it should not be used in patients with poor kidney function, severe heart issues, or compromised liver function. Temporary discontinuation of this medication is advised during acute infections, severe injuries, or before and after surgeries. This medication may pose risks when taken with alcohol, so avoiding drinking is preferred. When engaging in activities requiring concentration, such as driving or operating heavy machinery, caution is advised regarding symptoms from hypoglycemia or lactic acidosis. If skin blisters or severe joint pain occur while taking this medication, report it to a doctor immediately. This medication has not been confirmed safe for children, and dosage for elderly individuals should be adjusted based on kidney function.
