Vitamin D is important to supply during periods of high vitamin D needs in the body, such as pregnancy, lactation, growth phases, and old age. This vitamin helps improve growth disorders of bones and teeth, and aids in the prevention of rickets. Additionally, it is used to supplement calcium deficiency and support appropriate calcium supply to maintain bone health.

How to take

Adult dose

For those aged 8 and above and adults: 1 tablet to 2 tablets once a day

Precautions

This medicine should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia, patients with sarcoidosis, which is an unknown cause of systemic inflammatory disease, and those with kidney disease. Additionally, individuals who have allergic reactions to this medication or any of its components should avoid it. Babies under 12 months, patients with kidney stones, and those with severe renal failure should also not take this medication. During treatment, this medication should not be taken alongside phosphate, calcium salts, oral tetracycline formulations, or antacids. Children under 1 year old, currently treated patients, children who receive sunlight and normal meals, pregnant women or those who might become pregnant, nursing mothers, premature infants, and babies should consult a physician, dentist, or pharmacist before taking this medication. This is due to the possibility of vitamin D being secreted into breast milk, which can cause hypercalcemia in newborns. Consultation is also necessary for patients with heart or circulatory issues, kidney disorders, low protein levels, those taking cardiac glycosides, or those with a history of kidney stones. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, flushing, irregular heartbeat, skin rash, red spots, cardiac arrest, or central nervous system depression occur while taking this drug, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician or pharmacist. Overdose may cause gastrointestinal disorders, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, edema, etc., and prolonged use may result in hypercalcemia or calculi. Caution is particularly required when taken with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene due to the risk of hyperkalemia. Adhere to the recommended dosage, and when administering to children, it should be under adult supervision. Avoid teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before, during, and after taking this medicine. This medicine should be stored out of reach of children and kept in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. To prevent misuse and maintain the quality of the drug, it should not be transferred to another container.
