Improvement of blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes
This medication is used in conjunction with a diet and exercise regimen to help control blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. It can be used alone or in combination with other medications to enhance blood sugar control effects. This helps improve the patient's blood sugar levels and supports diabetes management.
The recommended dosage of this medication is 5mg once daily. It can be administered regardless of meals.
This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to the active ingredient or other components. It should also not be administered to patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. When used in conjunction with medications that can cause hypoglycemia, such as insulin or sulfonylureas, caution is required as the risk of hypoglycemia may increase. There is limited experience using this medication in patients with heart failure, so it should be administered cautiously. Acute pancreatitis symptoms may occur, and if severe abdominal pain persists, the medication should be discontinued immediately and a physician consulted. Bullous pemphigoid may occur, so if such symptoms appear, the medication should be stopped immediately. Signs of hypoglycemia may occur while taking this medication, so blood sugar levels should be monitored closely. Adverse reactions reported in clinical trials may include infections, allergic reactions, gastrointestinal disturbances, and skin rashes. This medication is not recommended for pregnant women and should be used with caution if breastfeeding. It is not recommended for children under 10 years old or adolescents, as safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established. Elderly patients can use this medication without special dosage adjustments. Patients with impaired renal or liver function can also receive the standard dosage. In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention for appropriate treatment, as there is no specific antidote and treatment will be based on symptoms. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers.
Urticaria, angioedema, pancreatitis, bullous pemphigoid, sudden and severe headache, seizures, altered consciousness, vision abnormalities, paralysis, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities with cough and fever, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), extreme lethargy, significantly reduced urine output, severe swelling accompanied by high blood pressure, severe edema or urination abnormalities, severe allergies
