This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Candesartan Cilexetil and Amlodipine combination. The Atorvastatin component helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases and assists in the treatment of hyperlipidemia. It notably reduces the risks of myocardial infarction, stroke, necessity of vascular interventions, and angina, and is effective in diabetic patients and those at high risk for coronary artery disease. In addition, Atorvastatin is used to lower total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels while raising HDL cholesterol levels. Thus, this medication is used for hypertension, reduction of cardiovascular disease risk, and improvement of dyslipidemia.
