Efficacy & effects

Improvement of blood glucose control in type 2 diabetes

  • Difficulty in blood glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes
View approved original text

This medication helps to complement dietary and exercise therapy for blood glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes. It is used as monotherapy for those beginning treatment for diabetes and can also be used when blood glucose control is insufficient after monotherapy. This medication serves as an alternative when blood glucose control is difficult with monotherapy of either Metformin or Citagliptin. Additionally, it can be combined with Metformin and sulfonylureas or thiazolidinediones when blood glucose control is inadequate. When insulin is used in combination with Metformin and blood glucose control is still challenging, this medication can be added to the treatment regimen. Overall, this medication is effective in improving blood glucose management in various treatment stages and combination scenarios.
