Adult dose

Chronic constipation: Administer before breakfast. Adults: For the first 2 to 3 days, take 15 to 30 mL orally before breakfast, then continue with 10 to 15 mL daily. In severe cases, it can be taken up to 45 mL.

Child dose

Children (7 to 14 years): Administer 15 mL daily for the first 2 to 3 days, then continue with 10 mL daily. Infants (1 to 6 years): Administer 5 to 10 mL daily. Babies (under 12 months): Administer 5 mL daily.

This medication should not be used in patients with inflammatory bowel disease or gastrointestinal obstruction. It should be avoided in cases of unexplained abdominal pain or risk of perforation in the gastrointestinal tract. People who are allergic to any ingredients in this medication should not take it. Since it contains lactose, individuals with hereditary lactose intolerance should not take this medication. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, infants and children, and the elderly should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Diabetic patients and those with fluid or electrolyte imbalance should check their condition and regulate it before taking the medication. Patients with acute gastritis or chronic constipation should try other treatment methods before using this medication. If taking specific medications, such as antibiotics, diuretics, or cardiac glycosides, consultation with a professional is necessary due to possible side effects or reduced efficacy. If constipation does not improve for over a week after taking this medication, or if there is a sudden change in bowel habits, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Overdosage can lead to abdominal cramps, diarrhea, and electrolyte loss; if abnormal symptoms occur, stop taking it immediately and consult medical personnel. Long-term or excessive use may cause bowel reflex dependency on the medication, requiring caution. If diarrhea or loose stools occur, it is advisable to reduce or stop the dosage. Gastrointestinal side effects such as belching, abdominal discomfort, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting may occur. When undergoing endoscopic examination while taking this medication, thorough bowel preparation is necessary due to the risk of intestinal gas explosion. Long-term use may lead to electrolyte abnormalities, so regular blood tests and management are required. If used by children for a long time, the risk of dental caries increases, so special attention to dental hygiene is required. Women who may become pregnant should consult a professional before use for safety. It is also advisable for breastfeeding women to consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and should be kept sealed in its original container to maintain quality.

Drug interactions
