Precautions

This medication may cause serious allergic reactions, so if symptoms such as skin rash, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face or neck occur, you should immediately stop taking it and consult a doctor. Acute pancreatitis may occur during the use of this medication, so if symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or fever appear, you must inform healthcare professionals immediately. This medication should not be used in patients with allergies to certain components, type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or patients undergoing dialysis. Patients with reduced fluid volume or kidney function issues may experience low blood pressure or kidney damage, so renal function and fluid status should be carefully checked and monitored before and during use. Elderly patients or those with impaired liver function may experience enhanced effects of the drug, so careful evaluation before use and regular renal function testing are recommended. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised not to take this medication, and if pregnancy is confirmed, it should be discontinued immediately. In the case of overdose, as there is no specific antidote, appropriate treatment should be given based on symptoms, and monitoring may be needed at a hospital. This medication does not significantly affect the ability to drive or operate machinery, but caution is needed due to the possibility of hypoglycemic symptoms.
