First, you must inform your healthcare provider if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients or excipients in this product before taking it. This medication is not intended for use in patients with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or those undergoing dialysis. Sitagliptin can rarely cause severe allergic reactions or skin diseases, as well as pancreatitis. If you experience symptoms such as rash, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face or neck after taking this medication, you should stop taking it immediately and consult your healthcare provider. Dapagliflozin can lead to dehydration, worsening kidney function, low blood pressure, genital infections, urinary tract infections, and rarely, serious pancreatitis or ketoacidosis, so you need to be cautious of these symptoms. Especially, elderly patients or those with reduced kidney function or on diuretics should have their kidney function, blood pressure, and fluid status checked regularly before and during the use of this medication. Moreover, diabetic ketoacidosis can occur even when blood sugar is not high, so if symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, difficulty breathing, or fatigue appear, you should inform your healthcare provider immediately. This medication may increase the risk of hypoglycemia when used with other antidiabetic agents such as insulin or sulfonylureas, so you need to be aware of hypoglycemic symptoms, and dosage adjustments of antidiabetic agents may be necessary if needed. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not recommended; if you plan to become pregnant or learn that you are pregnant, you should stop taking this medication immediately and consult your healthcare provider. The safety and effectiveness of this medication in children under 18 years of age have not been established, so it should not be used in this population. In case of overdose, seek medical attention immediately for appropriate treatment, and while this medication is not likely to affect driving or machine operation, caution is essential due to the risk of hypoglycemia. Finally, keep this medication out of the reach of children and store it in its original container.
