Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients with bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections, as symptoms may worsen. Individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medicine or its components should not use it. Patients with ear canal eczema and perforation of the tympanic membrane should be cautious when using this medicine as healing may be delayed. Patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite should avoid using this medicine as it may hinder skin regeneration. Patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea should also avoid using this medicine. Individuals allergic to aminoglycoside antibiotics or bacitracin should not use this medicine. Patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to propylene glycol should use this medicine cautiously. Pregnant, possibly pregnant, or breastfeeding women must consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine. When used in infants or children, it should be used carefully under the supervision of a guardian. If any abnormal symptoms such as infections, rashes, itching, redness, skin dryness, pustules, or skin color changes occur during the use of this medicine, usage should be immediately discontinued and a specialist should be consulted. Long-term or extensive use may result in systemic side effects such as pituitary-adrenal suppression, Cushing's syndrome, and hyperglycemia, therefore regular examinations are necessary. Caution should be exercised when using around the eyes due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma. Long-term use may cause skin atrophy, dermatitis, hirsutism, and pigment changes, therefore use should be discontinued as soon as symptoms improve. When using occlusive dressings, the risk of infection increases, so it must be done under medical supervision and the affected area should be kept clean. Children are at higher risk for side effects than adults and should be used with the minimal dose and duration necessary. This medicine should not be used for ophthalmic purposes, nor for non-therapeutic purposes such as after makeup or shaving.
