Adult dose

Adults usually take 4 tablets 3 times daily before meals or between meals.

This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant as the rhubarb component included in this medication may induce uterine contractions, increasing the risk of miscarriage or preterm labor. It is also advised that breastfeeding women avoid this medication since certain components of rhubarb can be transmitted through breast milk and cause diarrhea in infants. Individuals with lactose intolerance, specific genetic enzyme deficiencies, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medication, as it contains lactose which may cause problems in these conditions. While taking this medication, it is vital not to take other antidiarrheal medications simultaneously, as the combination can intensify side effects. Patients with hypertension, heart or kidney diseases, edema, elderly patients, and those taking other medications should consult with a professional before taking this medication, as it may affect their symptoms or conditions. Individuals experiencing diarrhea or having a weak stomach should also consult with a professional before taking this medication as it might exacerbate their symptoms. Those who have previously experienced allergic reactions such as skin rashes or itching after taking this medication should avoid its use. Diabetes patients should take caution due to the ephedra component in this medication, which may raise blood sugar levels. If unusual symptoms such as facial or extremity swelling or rising blood pressure occur during use, the medication should be discontinued immediately and a professional should be consulted. Symptoms such as muscle weakness, abdominal pain, vomiting, skin rash, insomnia, rapid heartbeat, urination issues, liver function abnormalities, etc., necessitate immediate discontinuation of the medication. When taking this for constipation treatment, it should not be used for more than a week; for other indications, it should not be taken for more than a month without professional consultation.
