Vitamin D helps in the healthy development of bones and teeth during specific periods such as pregnancy, lactation, growth phases, and old age, and aids in the prevention of rickets. It is also used to improve conditions of calcium deficiency and facilitate calcium supplementation to maintain bone health.

How to take

Adult dose

For individuals aged 8 years and older, take 1 tablet once a day.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis, or kidney diseases. Additionally, those who are allergic to this medication or its ingredients, infants under 12 months, kidney stone patients, and severe renal failure patients should avoid this medication. Since this medication contains lactose, individuals with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should also refrain from taking it. Certain medications such as phosphate, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids should not be taken concurrently while using this medication. Infants under 1 year old, patients currently receiving treatment, children exposed to a lot of sunlight, pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with heart or circulatory system diseases, kidney disorder patients, individuals with hypoproteinemia, those taking cardiac glycosides, and those with a history of kidney stones should consult healthcare providers before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, flushing, abnormal heartbeat, or skin rash occur while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately, and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Additionally, overdose can lead to gastrointestinal disturbances or hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema, so caution is required. Long-term use may result in hypercalcemia or lithiasis, necessitating regular tests. Caution is advised when taken with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene due to the risk of hyperkalemia. It is essential to adhere to dosage instructions and ensure that children take the medication under adult supervision. It is recommended to avoid tea containing tannins such as green tea or black tea before and after taking this medication. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place in a tightly closed container. Additionally, for quality maintenance, it should not be transferred to another container.
