This medication is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease, particularly erosive reflux esophagitis. It also helps prevent recurrence in patients with esophagitis as a long-term maintenance therapy. It is effective for relieving symptoms in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease without esophagitis. Therefore, this medication is utilized to improve various issues caused by gastroesophageal reflux.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken at least 1 hour before meals on an empty stomach. Swallow it whole with at least half a cup of water. Do not take with any other beverages besides water. This medication should not be chewed or crushed. 1. Adults - Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: 40/800 mg once daily for 4 weeks. In patients whose esophagitis is not healed or who continue to have symptoms, take for an additional 4 weeks. -

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to certain patients. Individuals with allergies or a history of hypersensitivity to this medication or its ingredients, those taking certain antiviral medications, individuals who are breastfeeding, and those with a history of heart disease should avoid its use. Precautions should be taken for those with liver or kidney dysfunction, elderly patients, those with severe gastrointestinal ulcers, individuals with cardiac or pulmonary dysfunction, and those with electrolyte imbalances. This medication may cause various side effects; if symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, gastrointestinal symptoms, skin rashes, muscle pain, or blood abnormalities occur, you should consult a doctor immediately. Long-term use requires regular check-ups, and there may be an increased risk of gastrointestinal bacterial infections, so if diarrhea persists, notify medical staff. This medication may interact with other drugs, so if you are currently taking any medications, be sure to inform your healthcare providers, especially when used with anticoagulants, anticonvulsants, or certain antiviral medications. Avoid use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and women planning or potentially planning to become pregnant should consult a doctor. In case of overdose, there is no specific antidote, and treatment will be symptomatic. It should be stored out of reach of children. Headache, dizziness, paresthesia, drowsiness, taste disturbance, blurred vision, bronchospasm, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal bloating, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, stomatitis, increased liver enzymes, hepatitis, dermatitis, itching, rash, hair loss, photosensitivity, arthralgia, myalgia, weakness, increased sweating, Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea, abdominal distension, allergic reactions, chest pain, facial swelling, flushing, fatigue, fever, flu-like disorder,
