This medication is effective for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, especially erosive reflux esophagitis. It is also used for long-term maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence in patients with esophagitis. It helps alleviate symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease that do not involve esophagitis. This is a drug effective in improving various symptoms and conditions related to gastroesophageal reflux.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before meals. Swallow the tablet whole with at least half a cup of water. Do not use other beverages. Do not chew or crush the tablet. - Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: Administer 40/800 mg once daily for 4 weeks. - If symptoms persist or do not improve, an additional 4 weeks of treatment may be required. - Maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence: 20/800 mg once daily.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to this medication or its components, those taking certain antiviral agents, nursing mothers, and patients with a history of myocardial infarction should not be treated with this drug. Patients with liver or kidney problems, elderly individuals, those with impaired heart or lung function, and patients with severe gastrointestinal ulcers should use this drug cautiously.
