This medication is used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, erosive esophagitis, and for long-term maintenance therapy to prevent relapse in patients with esophagitis. It is also effective for alleviating symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease without esophagitis. In other words, it helps improve the uncomfortable symptoms caused by acid reflux and protects esophageal health.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is taken on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before meals. When taking this medication, swallow it whole with at least half a cup of water. Do not take it with other beverages besides water. This medication should not be chewed or broken. - Treatment of erosive esophagitis: Administer 40/800 mg once daily for 4 weeks. If esophagitis is unresolved or symptoms persist, it may be continued for an additional 4 weeks.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with certain allergic reactions, those currently taking specific antiviral medications, nursing women, and patients with a history of heart disease. Patients with liver or kidney problems, elderly individuals, and those with severe gastrointestinal ulcers should use this medication with caution.   • Metabolism/nutrition: peripheral edema, hyponatremia, hypomagnesemia
  • Psychiatric: insomnia, anxiety, mental confusion, depression, aggression, hallucinations
  • Nervous system: headache, dizziness, paresthesia, drowsiness, taste disturbance
  • Vision: blurred vision
  • Auditory and vestibular system: vertigo

Storage
