This medication is used to improve symptoms of cognitive decline such as reduced concentration, memory impairment, and dizziness. It is particularly effective for alleviating these symptoms related to arteriosclerosis.

How to take

Adult dose

As Ginkgo Biloba Extract, take 240 mg once daily, 1 tablet. Can be taken regardless of meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this medication or any of its components. Children under the age of 18 should not use this medication due to insufficient experience with its administration. Pregnant women are advised not to use this medication as there is limited experience with its use during pregnancy and its safety is not well established. This medication contains lactose and should not be taken by individuals with a genetic disorder that prevents them from digesting lactose. Caution should be exercised when taking this medication concurrently with blood-thinners, as it may potentiate their effects. Additionally, this medication may affect the metabolism of other drugs in the liver, which could alter their effectiveness or duration when taken together. Taking this medication with certain drugs known as calcium channel blockers may increase the concentration of the active ingredient, raising the risk of side effects. Concomitant use with oral theophylline may affect the excretion of this medication and reduce its effectiveness. Patients with epilepsy should consult a doctor before use, as this medication may potentially worsen seizures. Individuals scheduled for surgery should discontinue this medication at least 36 hours prior to the procedure due to an increased risk of bleeding. This medication should be taken for a minimum of 8 weeks to expect effectiveness, and if symptoms do not improve or worsen after 3 months, a doctor should be consulted regarding continued use. Rarely, during use, allergic reactions such as nausea, headaches, or skin rashes may occur; if any unusual symptoms arise, immediate consultation with a professional is recommended. This medication is not intended for the treatment of hypertension, and patients with high blood pressure should not expect to control their blood pressure with this medication.
