Pointamin Plus 500/1000 Tablets

Adult dose

Individuals aged 8 years and older and adults should take 1 tablet once a day.

Child dose

Children aged 8 years and older should take 1 tablet once a day.

This medication should not be administered to patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis, or renal impairment. Patients with allergic reactions to the components of this medication, infants under 12 months, patients with kidney stones, and patients with severe renal insufficiency should also avoid using this medication. Since this medication contains lactose, patients with genetic disorders such as galactose intolerance, lactose deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. During treatment with this medication, it is not advisable to take phosphate, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids simultaneously. Patients receiving treatment from a physician, children who are exposed to sunlight frequently, pregnant women or those who might become pregnant, nursing mothers, premature infants, infants, patients with heart or circulatory issues, kidney impairment, hypoalbuminemia, patients on cardiac glycosides, and those with a history of kidney stones should consult a healthcare professional before using this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, facial flushing, irregular heartbeat, or skin rashes occur during use, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Caution should be exercised, as overdose can lead to gastrointestinal disturbances, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, or edema, and prolonged use may result in hypercalcemia or urolithiasis. Care should be taken when taking this medication together with antialdosterone agents or triamterene due to the risk of elevated potassium levels in the blood. The prescribed dosage must be strictly followed, and when administered to children, supervision by a guardian is necessary. It is recommended to avoid beverages containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before or after taking this medication. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and kept sealed in a cool, dry place to maintain its quality and prevent misuse.
