This medication is used to treat constipation. It also helps relieve symptoms such as loss of appetite, abdominal distension, abnormal fermentation in the intestines, and hemorrhoids caused by constipation. In other words, it plays a role in improving various uncomfortable symptoms related to constipation.

How to take

Adult dose

For those aged 15 and older and adults: Take 1 to 2 tablets, 3 times a day after meals. The interval between doses should be more than 4 hours. However, for the first dose, take the minimum amount and then adjust the dosage based on the shape and condition of the stool.

Precautions

This medicine should not be used by patients with acute abdominal diseases or bowel obstructions. Additionally, it contains lactose, so individuals with genetic issues that prevent lactose digestion should not take it. Do not take this medication with antacids or milk; there should be at least a 1-hour interval. People with severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, those taking other medications, individuals on a sodium-restricted diet, and those with a history of rectal bleeding or gastrointestinal dysfunction should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If during treatment symptoms such as skin rash, redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. If abdominal discomfort or cramps develop, or if constipation does not improve after taking for more than a week, stop taking it and consult a doctor. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and frequency; children under 10 years old should not take it unless under special circumstances. Also, do not chew the tablets; swallow them whole, and avoid long-term use as it may lead to tolerance to the drug, making constipation worse, so do not take it for more than a week. If daily laxatives are needed, the cause of the constipation must be identified. Store this medication out of the reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and keep it in a cool, dry place in a tightly sealed container. Do not transfer the medication to another container to prevent misuse and to maintain the drug's quality.
