How to take

Adult dose

Generally, adults take 1 packet (single dose) three times a day before or between meals.

Precautions

This medicine should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. The rhubarb contained in this medicine may cause uterine contractions or increase blood circulation to pelvic organs, raising the risk of preterm birth or miscarriage. Additionally, nursing women should avoid this medicine as some components of rhubarb can be transmitted through breast milk and may cause diarrhea in the baby, therefore nursing should be avoided or breastfeeding should be suspended. This medicine contains lactose; thus, individuals with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should not take it. If any of the following symptoms occur during the course of taking this medicine, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional: face or limb swelling, increased blood pressure, headache, muscle weakness, seizures, abdominal pain, skin rash, itching, insomnia, excessive sweating, rapid heartbeat, urinary issues, liver dysfunction, etc. It is generally advised not to take this medicine for extended periods; if long-term use is necessary, guidance from a healthcare provider is required. Stimulant laxatives can cause tolerance and may worsen constipation, so continuous use for more than one week is not recommended. Be sure to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, and be cautious of ingredient overlaps or interactions when taking it with other herbal medicines or medications.
