This medication is used for patients who need to take both Candesartan Cilexetil and Rosuvastatin simultaneously. Candesartan Cilexetil is used in the treatment of essential hypertension and heart failure (especially in patients with impaired left ventricular systolic function who require add-on therapy to ACE inhibitors or have poor tolerability). Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct when dietary changes and exercise are insufficient to control hyperlipidemia and dyslipidemia and is also helpful in the treatment of familial hypercholesterolemia and primary dysbetalipoproteinemia. Additionally, it effectively lowers total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels, slowing the progression of atherosclerosis, and reduces the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization in patients with elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels who are at high cardiovascular risk. Thus, the combination of Candesartan Cilexetil and Rosuvastatin manages both hypertension and dyslipidemia, improving cardiovascular health.
