Improvement of mixed dyslipidemia (total cholesterol, LDL-C, etc.)
This medication is used as an adjunct to lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apolipoprotein B, and non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels in patients with mixed dyslipidemia. It helps improve blood lipid balance, primarily when used alongside a dietary regimen, which reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases. This treatment aids in effectively managing patients' blood cholesterol levels.
The usual dosage for adults is 1 tablet taken immediately after a meal once daily. Since the phenofibrate component may be less absorbed on an empty stomach, it should be taken immediately after meals.

Patients with severe liver disease or persistently elevated liver enzyme levels without explanation should not receive this medication along with other specific lipid-lowering agents. Additionally, patients with impaired liver function, severe kidney impairment, or gallbladder disease should avoid this drug. In particular, for cases of slightly impaired kidney function, the dosage may need to be reduced or the dosing interval extended. This medication may cause side effects such as headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, myalgia, and fatigue. Furthermore, liver enzyme levels may increase, necessitating regular liver function tests. If muscle pain or weakness is felt, the patient should immediately inform their physician; in severe cases, the medication should be discontinued. This medication can interact with other lipid-lowering agents, anticoagulants, immunosuppressants, etc., so patients taking other medications must consult their doctor. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid using this medication due to potential effects on the fetus during pregnancy, for which caution is advised. Children should not take this medication, and elderly patients should periodically check liver and kidney function while using it. In cases of overdose, there is no specific antidote, so appropriate treatment according to the symptoms is necessary, and it is vital to keep this medication out of the reach of children.
