Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (including erosive esophagitis), treatment and prevention of recurrence of Helicobacter pylori-positive peptic ulcers, relief of gastrointestinal symptoms related to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, treatment and prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers, treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, prevention of rebleeding from gastric and duodenal ulcers.
This medication is used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, especially erosive reflux esophagitis, and to prevent the recurrence of esophagitis. It also aids in treating or preventing recurrence of ulcers in the duodenum and stomach caused by Helicobacter pylori. It is effective in treating gastrointestinal symptoms or gastric ulcers caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is also used for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and for maintenance therapy after the prevention of rebleeding from gastric and duodenal ulcers. In summary, this medication is effectively used to treat various symptoms and diseases related to gastrointestinal disorders and ulcers.
This medication should be swallowed whole with liquids such as water and should not be chewed or crushed. 1. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: 40 mg once daily for 4 weeks. - Long-term maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence in patients with esophagitis: 20 mg once daily. - Treatment of GERD symptoms without esophagitis: 20 mg once daily. -

This drug should not be administered to patients who are allergic to certain components or have experienced hypersensitivity reactions. Urticaria, angioedema, anaphylactic reaction/shock, hypomagnesemia (may induce hypocalcemia and hypokalemia in severe cases), mental confusion, very rarely aggressiveness, hallucinations, very rarely hepatitis, jaundice, very rarely hepatic failure, erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, eosinophilia and systemic symptoms associated with drug reactions.
