Precautions

This medication can cause blood vessels to dilate and lower blood pressure, which may lead to dangerously low blood pressure in patients taking nitrate preparations or nitric oxide (NO) donors. Patients with heart conditions or unstable cardiovascular status should consult a doctor before using this medication, and caution is advised as sexual activity may strain the heart. Healthy individuals may also temporarily experience a drop in blood pressure, particularly caution is necessary for patients with cardiovascular diseases. Patients who have had severe cardiac arrhythmias or heart failure, stroke, or myocardial infarction within the last six months should not use this medication. If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours after taking this medication, immediate medical attention should be sought, as untreated cases can lead to penile tissue damage and loss of erectile function. Patients with specific liver or kidney diseases, hypertension, or hypotension should be cautious regarding dosage or use. Additionally, this medication can significantly increase blood concentrations when taken with certain antiviral drugs, so dosage adjustments are necessary for patients taking such medications. This medication contains phenylalanine, and patients with the genetic metabolic disorder phenylketonuria should not take it. Pregnant women, children under 18 years of age, and women should not use this medication. Headaches, flushing, dyspepsia, dizziness, and visual disturbances are common side effects, and patients should consult a doctor if symptoms are severe. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery, as visual disturbances or dizziness may occur, and there is a risk of excessively low blood pressure when combined with alpha-blockers or antihypertensive drugs. It is safer not to use this medication with other erectile dysfunction treatments. Overdosage can worsen side effects, so the recommended dosage must be followed, and it should be kept out of reach of children.
