Reduces the risk of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases, improves dyslipidemia
This drug is used for patients who need to take Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin/Ezetimibe simultaneously. Telmisartan controls hypertension and reduces the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death due to cardiovascular diseases in high-risk patients aged 55 and older. It is particularly effective in patients who cannot use ACE inhibitors. Rosuvastatin and Ezetimibe help improve cholesterol levels, reducing blood lipids in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia while increasing good cholesterol (HDL). Therefore, this drug is used to manage both hypertension and dyslipidemia, improving cardiovascular health.
This drug is taken once daily, one tablet, with or without food. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). Telmisartan: For essential hypertension, adults are recommended to take 40 mg orally once daily, and depending on the patient, 20 mg once daily may also be effective. If necessary, the dosage may be increased up to 80 mg once daily. To reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, 80 mg once daily is recommended.
This drug can cause serious harm to the fetus during pregnancy, so it should be stopped immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. If severe muscle pain or weakness occurs, consult a doctor immediately, as these symptoms, though rare, may also affect kidney function. Elderly patients, those with kidney or thyroid issues, or excessive alcohol consumption should use this drug with caution. Interactions with certain medications may increase the risk of side effects, so it's essential to inform your doctor or pharmacist. Regular liver or kidney function tests should be performed, especially before and during treatment. Notify healthcare personnel immediately if sudden muscle pain, fever, or weakness occurs while taking this drug. Be cautious, as blood pressure may drop too low, causing dizziness or fainting.
