Treatment for hypertension, reduction of cardiovascular disease risk, and improvement of dyslipidemia
This medication is used for patients who need to take both Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin/Ezetimibe. Telmisartan helps in the treatment of essential hypertension and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. It lowers the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and mortality due to cardiovascular disease, especially in high-risk patients who cannot use ACE inhibitors. Rosuvastatin/Ezetimibe is used to improve blood lipid levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia. This medication reduces total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apolipoprotein B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels while increasing HDL cholesterol. Therefore, this medication is effective in managing both hypertension and hyperlipidemia while protecting cardiovascular health.
This medication should be taken once daily as 1 tablet with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). Telmisartan 1. Essential Hypertension: For adults, an oral dose of 40 mg once daily is recommended, which may be effective for some patients at 20 mg. If necessary, the dose can be increased to 80 mg once daily. 2. Reduction of Cardiovascular Disease Risk: For adults, an oral dose of 80 mg once daily is recommended.
This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during pregnancy; therefore, it should be stopped immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Rhabdomyolysis, a muscle-related side effect, may occur rarely, so if you experience severe muscle pain or weakness, consult a doctor immediately. Patients with allergies to any of the components included in this medication, severely impaired liver or kidney function, and certain muscle diseases should not take this medication. Patients who consume alcohol excessively or have a history of liver disease should consult a doctor before taking this medication and should have regular liver function tests. This medication lowers blood pressure; therefore, if symptoms of hypotension occur, you should seek medical attention immediately and exercise caution when driving or operating machinery. During treatment, liver function, kidney function, and blood potassium levels should be periodically checked to monitor for any abnormalities. As there may be interactions with other medications, patients taking any other medications should inform their healthcare provider. During the treatment, if symptoms such as muscle pain, muscle cramps, or muscle weakness occur, inform your doctor immediately and undergo tests. Particularly, the elderly, patients with diabetes, and those with impaired kidney function should be more closely monitored for adverse reactions. This medication contains certain pigments, so patients with allergies to these components should consult their healthcare provider before taking it.
