Contraception and improvement of moderate acne
This medication is used for contraception and is also effective in treating moderate acne. It helps prevent unwanted pregnancies while improving acne symptoms, so you can take it with confidence expecting these two main effects.
Take 1 tablet daily for 21 days and then have a 7-day break. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day. Start taking from the first day of menstruation and take this medication daily for 21 days, then have a break for 7 days. After the 7-day break, begin taking it again the next day. If a dose is missed, take the missed tablet as soon as remembered and continue as per the usual schedule.
This medication can significantly increase the risk of serious cardiovascular side effects, particularly thrombosis, in women who smoke, so women over 35 years of age or those who smoke 15 or more cigarettes a day should not use it. This medication should not be administered to patients with certain diseases or suspected conditions. For example, women with estrogen-dependent tumors, thrombotic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, severe hypertension, liver dysfunction, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding may be at risk when taking this medication. Additionally, breastfeeding women are also advised not to use this medication. In the case of overdose, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, abdominal pain, and drowsiness may occur. As no specific antidote exists, symptomatic treatment is required. This medication may affect liver function, endocrine function, blood test results, etc., thus regular examinations are necessary, and it should be kept out of reach of children.
