Treatment of androgenetic alopecia
This medication is primarily used for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia, or male pattern hair loss, in adult men. It is expected to inhibit hair loss progression and promote hair growth. It is important for patients to take this medication continuously throughout the treatment period, as consistent use over a certain period is necessary to see results. This medication is used effectively to treat androgenetic alopecia.
Generally, as finasteride, 1 mg is taken once daily orally, regardless of meals. There is no evidence that increasing the dosage improves efficacy. Generally, treatment effects can be seen after taking the medication for more than three months, and it is recommended to continue taking it to maintain treatment effects. Treatment duration and efficacy should be continuously evaluated. The treatment effect will disappear within 12 months after discontinuation.
