Dosage can be adjusted according to efficacy and tolerance. Precautions

This medication can cause dangerously low blood pressure when used with nitrate-containing medications, so it is essential to inform the physician if you are taking any nitrate medication before use. Patients with heart or vascular issues must receive a physician's diagnosis before taking this medication, as engaging in sexual activity may be risky for those with severe cardiovascular conditions, and the use of this medication is not recommended. This medication can temporarily lower blood pressure by dilating blood vessels, so patients with baseline cardiovascular conditions should exercise caution. Patients who have had severe heart or cerebrovascular problems within the past six months, hypotensive or hypertensive patients, and those with retinal diseases should not take this medication. If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours, medical attention should be sought immediately, as failure to treat this can lead to penile tissue damage or loss of erectile function. Particular care must be taken regarding dosing adjustments when this medication is taken with certain drugs, especially protease inhibitors like ritonavir, as it can substantially increase blood concentrations of this drug. This medication contains artificial sweeteners that include phenylalanine, so patients with phenylketonuria should not take it. Patients with hypersensitivity to this drug, those who regularly take nitrate medication, those with severe cardiovascular disease, severe hepatic failure patients, and children under 18 and women should not take this medication. Elderly patients, those with penile deformities or bleeding disorders, renal and hepatic failure patients, and those on specific medications should use this medication cautiously and discuss potential adverse reactions with their doctor. Common side effects include headaches, flushing, dyspepsia, nasal congestion, dizziness, etc., and rare cases of visual disturbances or cardiovascular adverse reactions have also been reported. Caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery, as visual disturbances or dizziness may occur, and blood pressure lowering can occur when taken with alpha-blockers, necessitating adjustment of dosages. This drug is used for erectile dysfunction treatment and does not provide protection against sexually transmitted diseases, so caution is warranted during sexual intercourse. Overdosage may exacerbate side effects, so recommended dosages must be adhered to, and it should be kept out of reach of children.
