(Hypertension, Dyslipidemia) Improvement and reduction of cardiovascular disease risk
This drug is used for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled despite using amlodipine and valsartan combination therapy. Additionally, rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct in patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia that are not controlled by diet, and is also effective for homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia and primary dysbetalipoproteinemia. Rosuvastatin lowers cholesterol levels in hypercholesterolemic patients, delays the progression of atherosclerosis, and helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases, strokes, myocardial infarction, and vascular revascularization procedures. Therefore, this drug is used to effectively control blood pressure and blood lipids to improve cardiovascular health.
This medication is taken as 1 tablet once daily with water. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., before breakfast) if possible. The dosage of the amlodipine/valsartan combination and rosuvastatin should be individualized based on the patient’s response and tolerability. ▷ Amlodipine/valsartan combination - 5/80 mg: Prescribe to patients whose blood pressure is inadequate under single therapy with amlodipine 5 mg or valsartan 80 mg.
