Treatment of essential hypertension and dyslipidemia (such as hypercholesterolemia) and the effect of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease
This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty controlling blood pressure with monotherapy and who require a combination of amlodipine and valsartan. Additionally, rosuvastatin is used in conjunction with dietary therapy for patients with hypercholesterolemia or dyslipidemia to control cholesterol levels and slow down the progression of atherosclerosis. It particularly helps in reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and revascularization procedures in patients at high risk for cardiovascular diseases. It is used to improve cardiovascular health by managing both hypertension and dyslipidemia simultaneously.
Take 1 tablet once a day with water. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., before breakfast). For the amlodipine/valsartan combination, the dose should be individualized for each patient. Rosuvastatin can be taken at any time of day, with an initial dose of 5 mg once daily. The maintenance dose is 10 mg once daily, and adjustments should be made after an interval of at least 4 weeks.
