This medication is used to relieve various symptoms of the common cold including runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

For individuals aged 15 years and older: 2 capsules, three times a day, taken 30 minutes after meals

Precautions

This medication may put a strain on the liver; therefore, individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages per day should consult a physician or pharmacist before taking it. During the course of taking this medication, if serious rashes or blistering appear on the skin, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Since it contains acetaminophen, caution should be exercised not to exceed the maximum daily dosage of 4,000mg, and it should not be taken with other medications containing acetaminophen. Individuals with allergies to this medication or who have previously experienced asthma or allergic reactions from this medication or similar drugs should not take it. It is advisable for infants under 3 months of age or individuals taking certain antidepressants to avoid this medication.
