This medication is used to improve constipation. It also helps relieve symptoms such as appetite loss, abdominal bloating, abnormal intestinal fermentation, and hemorrhoids that may occur due to constipation. Overall, it normalizes bowel function and assists in comfortable bowel movements to improve symptoms.
Adults (15 years and older) take 2 to 3 tablets once daily at bedtime (on an empty stomach). For the initial dose, take the minimum amount and adjust the dosage based on the shape and condition of the stool.
This medicine should not be taken by individuals with serious intestinal problems such as acute abdominal diseases or intestinal obstruction. During the use of this medication, it is advisable not to take antacids or eat milk within 1 hour after ingestion. Also, since this medication contains lactose, individuals who have problems with lactose breakdown or have a genetic lactose intolerance disease should not take it. Those with severe abdominal pain or vomiting, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, individuals taking other medications, those with allergic constitutions or family histories of allergies, individuals on sodium-restricted diets, and those with a history of rectal bleeding or bowel dysfunction should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. This medication contains a color additive called Yellow No. 4, which requires caution for individuals allergic to this component. If symptoms such as a skin rash, redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. If abdominal discomfort or cramping occurs or if constipation does not improve after more than one week of use, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Always adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration method, and children under the age of 10 should generally avoid taking this medication unless in special cases. The tablets should be swallowed whole and should not be chewed, and long-term continuous use may lead to tolerance to the drug or worsening of constipation, so it should not be used continuously for more than one week. Always keep this medication out of the reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and stored in a cool, dry place in a tightly sealed container. Additionally, it is important not to transfer this medication to another container and to store it in its original container to prevent misuse and maintain quality.
