This medication is used to relieve heartburn that occurs with excessive stomach acid.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and patients aged 15 years and older should take 1 tablet at a time. Do not exceed 2 tablets within 24 hours.

Precautions

This medication contains lactose, and individuals with galactose intolerance, lactose deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Also, it should not be used by those allergic to this medication or other H2 receptor antagonists, and those who have difficulty swallowing should avoid taking it. Caution should be used if unexplained weight loss or persistent abdominal pain occurs, and those with kidney disease must check calcium levels in the blood. It is important to consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication if you are on other medications. In particular, antacids may interact with other medications. Rare allergic reactions may occur while taking this medication, and side effects such as liver function abnormalities, digestive discomfort, skin rash, and headache may occur. If symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks of use, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor, and it is advisable not to continue taking it for more than 2 weeks. When taken with Atenolol, Metoprolol, Propranolol, Chloroquine, Tetracycline antibiotics, Diclazuril, Digoxin, Eltrombopag, Fexofenadine, Iron (salts), Fluoroquinolone antibiotics, Sodium fluoride, Glucocorticoids, Indomethacin, Ketoconazole, Lansoprazole, Phenothiazine anticonvulsants, Penicillamine, Phosphates, Thyroxine, Salicylates, and antacids.

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent air from entering and kept at room temperature between 1 degrees and 30 degrees Celsius. This helps maintain the effectiveness of the medication.
