Levotose CR Tablet (Levodropropizine)

Adult dose

Adults: Take 1 tablet per dose (equivalent to 90mg of levodropropizine) orally twice daily. This is an extended-release formulation; swallow it whole without splitting or crushing.

This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to this drug or any of its components. It should not be administered to patients with increased bronchial mucus secretion or diseases related to ciliary dysfunction. Women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding should not take this medication. Patients with severe hepatic impairment should not use this medication. This medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should avoid taking it. Use with caution in patients with severe heart failure, significantly reduced kidney function, elderly patients, and children. While taking this medication, gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, dyspepsia, and constipation may occur. Caution is also needed as symptoms such as drowsiness, headache, and dizziness can occur due to central nervous system effects. Symptoms like eyelid edema or orthostatic dizziness may also rarely occur. This medication may cause drowsiness while driving or operating machinery, especially when taken with alcohol, which may increase drowsiness. Since this is a controlled-release formulation, it is better to use other formulations that can be divided for children. When used in combination with sedatives, caution is required due to potential drug interactions that may worsen symptoms. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children, and transferring it to other containers should be avoided as it may cause degradation of quality or accidents.
