This medication is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before meals. Swallow it whole with at least half a cup of water. Do not take with other beverages besides water. Do not chew or crush it. 1. Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who have had an allergic reaction or hypersensitivity to this medication or any of its components. Patients taking certain antiviral medications such as atazanavir, nelfinavir, or rilpivirine should not use this medication. It is advisable not to use this medication during breastfeeding. Patients with a history of myocardial infarction or those currently experiencing myocardial infarction should also avoid this medication.
