Treatment and prevention of erosive reflux esophagitis, improvement of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease
This medication is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease, particularly erosive reflux esophagitis. It also helps to prevent the recurrence of the disease in patients with esophagitis through prolonged maintenance therapy. It is effective in alleviating symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease in patients without esophagitis, helping improve symptoms overall. It is used to treat reflux-related issues in the stomach and esophagus and to prevent recurrence.
This medication should be taken on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before meals. Swallow it whole with at least half a cup of water. Do not take with any beverages other than water. Do not chew or crush the tablet. - Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: Administer 1 time daily, 40/800 mg for 4 weeks. If symptoms persist, continue taking for another 4 weeks. - Maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence in patients with esophagitis: 1 time daily,
This medication should not be administered to patients with an allergy to this medication or its components or who have shown hypersensitivity. Patients taking certain antiviral drugs, those who are breastfeeding, or those with a history of heart disease should not use this medication. Patients with impaired liver or kidney function, the elderly, or those with heart and lung function problems should use this medication with caution. Adverse effects can arise from this medication, so if symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, gastrointestinal symptoms, or skin rashes occur, medical advice should be sought immediately. Regular testing to monitor liver function and electrolyte levels is essential for long-term use. Since this medication lowers gastric acidity due to its proton pump inhibitor component, the risk of gastrointestinal infections may increase; therefore, the doctor should be informed if diarrhea persists. This medication has many drug interactions, particularly when taken with antiviral medications, anticoagulants, or anticonvulsants; thus, expert guidance should be followed. If pregnant or breastfeeding, consultation with a physician is necessary before use since its safety has not been adequately established. In the case of overdose, there is no specific antidote, so appropriate treatment should be given based on symptoms, and it should be kept out of reach of children.
