This medication should be taken at least 1 hour before meals on an empty stomach. Swallow it whole with at least half a cup of water. Do not take with other beverages. Do not chew or crush it. Administer 40/800mg once daily for 4 weeks for the treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis. If symptoms persist after 4 weeks, continue for another 4 weeks. For prevention of relapse, maintain a dose of 20/800mg once daily.

This medication is used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or erosive reflux esophagitis. It can also be used as a long-term maintenance therapy to prevent relapse in patients with esophagitis. It is effective in improving symptoms in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease who do not have esophagitis. This helps alleviate uncomfortable symptoms for patients and maintain a healthy esophageal state. Overall, it plays an important role in stabilizing stomach and esophageal issues.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken at least 1 hour before meals on an empty stomach. Swallow it whole with at least half a cup of water. Do not take with other beverages. Do not chew or crush it. Administer 40/800mg once daily for 4 weeks for the treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis. If symptoms persist after 4 weeks, continue for another 4 weeks. For prevention of relapse, maintain a dose of 20/800mg once daily.

Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its components. In particular, it should not be taken with certain antiviral medications such as atazanavir, nelFINavir, and rilpivirine, and nursing women should avoid it. Caution is required in patients with a history of myocardial infarction or those who have had a myocardial infarction. Caution is advised for patients with liver or kidney dysfunction, elderly patients, severe gastrointestinal ulcers, or those with heart or lung function impairment. This medication reduces stomach acidity and may increase the risk of certain bacterial infections; if diarrhea persists, consult a physician. Furthermore, long-term or high-dose use may increase the risk of fractures, so patients at risk for osteoporosis require regular check-ups. This medication interacts with multiple drugs, particularly with warfarin, digoxin, methotrexate, and clopidogrel, so caution is needed when taken together, and do not combine this with other medications without a doctor's instruction. Urticaria, angioedema, anaphylactic reaction/shock, severe edema, hyponatremia, hypomagnesemia (severe hypomagnesemia can cause hypocalcemia and hypokalemia), mental confusion, very rare aggression, hallucinations, bronchospasm, hepatitis, jaundice, liver failure, encephalopathy, erythema multiforme, mucocutaneous syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal necrolysis (Lyell syndrome), acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, eosinophilia and systemic reactions

Headache, dizziness, sensory disturbances, drowsiness, taste disorders, blurred vision, bronchospasm, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, stomatitis, gastrointestinal candidiasis, pancreatitis, elevated liver enzymes, hepatitis, dermatitis, itching, rash, hair loss, photosensitivity, arthralgia, myalgia, weakness, increased sweating, clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea, allergic reactions, facial swelling, facial flushing, fatigue, fever, malaise, pain
